Trombone
Dan Stupakewicz
joined the Contemporary Arts Studio family in 2001. He is a Summa
cum Laude graduate of Morehead State University where he earned a
Bachelor of Music degree with an emphasis on trombone performance.
Performing frequently throughout Ohio as a trombonist, guitarist,
and vocalist; his diverse musical background
also includes sound
engineering and almost 15 years of
experience instructing private students.
Dan
currently resides in the Galloway area with his wife Rebekah and
sons,
Benjamin and Ethan.

Joel Shonkwiler is the current
Graduate Teaching Associate in the Trombone studio at The Ohio State
University, where he is working toward a Doctor of Music. Joel also
has received degrees from Indiana
University and the University of Dayton. He has studied with Tim
Anderson, Carl Lenthe, and Joe Duchi. Mr. Shonkwiler is the Second
Trombonist with the Newark-Granville Symhony, and
performs in the area with funk, salsa and swing bands, and
other regional symphonies.
